What is empowerment ethos

Empowerment Ethos is more than just a self-help program delivering inspirational information. Through a variety of practical approaches, we will guide you through to a life-changing transformation.

Empowerment Ethos is about changing the way we see the world. It’s not just a cool set of facts to file away in your head, it’s about improving your ethos and implementing changes that will impact the way you see the world, and how the world sees you.

Neuroplasticity used to be a laughable notion. Recent science has proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that our brains grow and change throughout our lives. With Empowerment Ethos we’re not just talking about transforming your thoughts and actions, we’re talking about the kind of change that actually happens within the structure of your brain. Your brain will be rewired and ready for a lifetime grit, resilience and peace.

how does it work?

The course will be delivered to you in 12 LIVE modules on Zoom over 12 weeks. Modules include tasks and challenges that will help you live and excel outside of your comfort zone. You will also have access to downloadable  workbooks that will help you cement the knowledge you are given and keep you on track for success.

As an Empowerment Ethos grad you will have access to our exclusive Ethos facebook group. Not only will recordings of all your sessions be in there, but so will I, ready to answer all your questions. With your exclusive access, you can be personally guided through strategies to ensure you get the highest value and achieve your goals.

As a graduate empowerment warrior you will unlock life-time access to all of the Empowerment Ethos modules and resources. This means the course is there for you when you need it most. If you feel like you need a refresher at any time, we’ll be here for you.

What exactly do we during each part of the course?

Module 1

Self Talk 

Everything you attract into your life is a reflection of the story you believe and keep telling yourself. This section is all about self talk. What we say, why we say it and how we can change it to help ourselves. That little voice in your head is a powerful one!

 

Module 2

The Uncovering

Events happen in all of our lives that cannot be changed. We can’t go back into the past as much as we would like to. 

But our brains do carry these experiences…or at the least our perceptions of these experiences with us and become part of our everyday narrative, about ourselves, other people and the world around us. The ways in which these events are understood and interpreted, however, makes a considerable difference to their effects on us.

We then will act out of that believe system and that story…even if it’s only running through your subconscious mind. It’s time to uncover what these beliefs are.

 

Module 3

Re-authouring and creating boundaries.

Last module we  started to undercover what was in our subconscious and to bring it to our consciousness. With those beliefs uncovered we talked about healing wounds…how it’s really important to not cover the wound back up and hope it heals in the same festy place it was hidden before but instead,  now, to let the air get to it, to let it become part of your conscious awareness so that you can start to create from a new belief and not from the old beliefs which have been holding you back. 

Then in order to create a safe space to be in our new story and become clear on our new beliefs we need to set boundaries.

A boundary is defined by what is ok…and what’s not ok and it’s also teaching other people where our line is…how we want to be treated, spoken too.

Module 4

Courage, Confidence and Ego

With courage we can dare to take risks, have the strength to be compassionate and the wisdom to be humble. It's also a skill that can be learnt.

Courage can be the quiet voice you whisper to yourself that everything is going to be ok. Courage can be the conversation you have been  meaning to have or the text you have finally sent. Courage can be stand up and scream “This is not ok” 

Sometimes courage is pushing yourself forward even though you are comfortable in the past.

Courage also needs us to lead with our soul and not our ego. 

 

Module 5

Grit, Resilience and our feelings.

In this module we are talking about strategies for coping, strategies for inner strength, grit and resilience. 

With all of these new skills that we are going to be looking at we can  internalise those feelings and these experiences of well-being can help promote resilience.

We also take a closer look out our feelings and emotions. The word emotion comes from the latin, 'emotere', which literally means energy in motion.

I love to talk about feelings this way…because if the energy is in motion then you you don’t have to be stuck in one emotions or stay in one feeling…it’s what is flowing through us.

 

Module 6

Resistance to change and Commitment to self.

We are half way and in this module we talk about how we can let go of resistance to change, 

How we can commit to change, commit to ourselves, and find consistency in creating new habits and pathways that serve us. Once you learn how to be consistent and stick to the plans you make for yourself then this act of doing what you say you will do…will flow over into other aspects of yours life and help you form better habits in all areas.

When you do this one thing you said you were going to do it’s going to feel good and it will be a further confirmation for your brain that YOU CAN. You are now the person that follows through…the person who does what they said…and you are that person now.

Module 7

Compassion Fatigue and burnout

This week we are going to talk about compassion fatigue, patience, tolerance and perfectionism. 

What is compassion fatigue? Is is the cost of loosing who you are being at the expense of helping everyone else. 

It’s not just being tried of being nice

It’s not just burn out

It’s the when the emotional and physical burden of caring for others which is created by caring for people becomes too much for us. 

So how can we still care for others and prevent this happening? This is exactly what we look at this week.

 

Module 8

Self compassion and expectations

What’s wrong with me? Why can’t I cope? 

Self compassion is bearing witness to our own pain and respond with kindness and understanding. 

We learn the 5 paths to self compassion and learn all about being kind to yourself in the midst of the pain and allowing it to change.

Self compassion is so important, it helps feeling good emotionally, to have low levels of anxiety, less shame and depression, less physical aliments, better immune system, it reflects how quickly we can recover from stress, lowers rates of PTSD and even helps us with eating healthier. 

 

Module 9

Fears, Doubts and our superpowers

We all come with a specific set of character strengths that makes us unique. And at one point or another, you’ve probably been told what your unique strengths are. Perhaps your friends have praised your creativity or mentioned how good of a leader you are when it comes to working together. Now imagine being able to use these attributes as superpowers to create a happier life for you and the people around you.

Now we have uncovered our underlying beliefs and we have started to re-author them…this goes a step further into focusing on your best qualities to develop more self-confidence and feel happier in general.

Module 10

Letting go of our old self and sailing into new waters.

Our energy is connected to everything we have ever had an experience with in or outer world. When we start tell the truth about who we really are…that takes some real energy. When we start to connect with our strengths and let go of the masks we have build for ourselves as a protection strategy…as we start to  break bonds with the past…with people we have shared past experiences with….these shifts can feel uncomfortable at first. You are being aware of all that was already in you..part of you…but you can kept hidden in your unconscious for so long. 

How can we steer our ships…on the water on life…without returning to how things were and old patterns…simply because they are what we know…and not what we need.

 

Module 11

Guilt and people pleasing.

This is where we start to learn how to start speaking up, to be yourself, stop feeling guilty and stop people pleasing. 

This pattern of not being able to speak up or speak out, feeling guilty, even when we have done nothing wrong and people pleasing  can start very early on in our life. 

When we say yes when we would rather say no, when we don’t speak up for what we would like..is a pattern of relating to people in the world to stay safe and to keep peoples approval and it’s a strategy to make people LIKE us at all costs and nothing to do with being a good person. 

 

Module 12

Information to transformation

Knowledge is power…but knowledge about yourself is self empowerment and once you have knowledge about yourself which you have been uncovering and discovering this whole time you can use this information to transform yourself. 

The most amazing thing is when I get to see people experience their true potential…..when I get to be with people each week who actually want to do the work and lean into the magic of creating the new you.
